HS CEGR Mixael de Kock (de Châtillon-DuCocq), APR, F PRISA, is Chief Executive of The MAVERICK Group (TMG), an alliance of South African communication-related companies which he founded in 2002. TMG holds a Gold World Award for Excellence in Public Relations. Mixael speaks and writes on numerous cutting-edge subjects impacting on communication and is represented by the prestigious London Speaker Bureau. After his studies at the University of the Witwatersrand (Wits), Mixael worked for seven years as trade liaison officer with the Japanese Government (JETRO) and, thereafter, for 17 years, headed up group communication at the mining giant, Gold Fields of South Africa Limited (GFSA). Previously: President and Board Member of the Public Relations Institute of Southern Africa (PRISA); Chairman, SA Council for Communication Management; World Council and Board Member IPRA; Board Member Global Alliance; Council member of the Federation of African Public Relations Associations (FAPRA); PRISA Board, PRISA Council, PRISA Accreditation Committee; Executive Committee, Johannesburg Press Club; co-founder SA Consumer Psychology Association; Board Member Ballet Theatre Afrikan (BTA).
